What Are You Interested In?
If you were to choose a book to read right now, what would it be about?
If you were to watch a movie right now, what would it be about?
If you were to spend the next two hours learning something, what would it be?
Or in short: what are you interested in right now?
Let me know if you feel like it. Or just ask yourself. Then see if you can do something about it.
One thing I notice by paying attention to what I do is how there is one answer to “choose a book to read right now, what would it be about” that is if I had full mental energy and another for what I actually read. I bought a cool book on human physiology and biology and the like which I really want to read. But that takes mental energy. I spend a lot more time reading novels which mainly are escapism and relaxation for me. Which I also want – but there it is largely about the escapism and relaxation not whatever book I happen to read to get that.

I tend to do the same. But I guess you can still analyze your interests by looking at the books you have bought and that are waiting to be read… Maybe :)
