We live in a world that does its best to keep us busy all the time. We go to work, rushing to get our projects done, then get home to take care of urgent tasks like paying bills, shopping, and in the case of the insanely interested, to juggle between the different things we want or have promised to do.

In the middle of all of this hassle it’s really easy to get lost.

The Second Year

Yesterday, I posted a look back at the first year of this blog’s existence, and highlighted some posts from every month to show the progress that has been made throughout the past twelve months.

This first year has taught me a lot about blogging, life, and what I want to achieve through this blog. Now is the time to switch to a new gear, and start the second year.

Focus is often seen as the ability to concentrate in one thing – even to the extent of flow, in which you forget all about the surrounding world as you immerse yourself in the one thing that really gets you excited.

While that’s a great way of looking at focus, it’s not complete.

Time is an amazing concept. It flies by no matter what you do or don’t do. You can’t stop it: the clocks keep ticking no matter what you do.

But at the same time it’s also one of the most subjective things in this world. When you measure time as the number of things a person has achieved in his life, It’s as if some people were given double the amount of time – and some would barely have gotten the minimum.
