Wow, you make it sound like I'm so good at juggling everything. Please tell that to my wife. Recently I've gotten a couple letters about my bills going to collections. It's not that I don't have the money but I just can't keep track of the stacks of mail in my office. On a brighter note, my cycling and outdoor gear search traffic is up nearly 50% over December.

I actually don't like to run although I did do a 17.5 hour hike last weekend. I do like to do 500+ mile bike races though. No, you shouldn't have to sleep during a race of that length.

Thanks for the support! Today Oiva has been doing well, and is slowly starting to eat more, which makes our life much nicer again. I have been able to work on my writing projects, and life looks bright - just putting in the finishing touches to my next post to this blog.

@NetManiac: No worries, I think your English is really good! Good tip about planning deadlines well enough so you have time to complete the projects even if something urgent like this happens...

@Mark: Aww... That's a perfect weather. Sounds much better than the rain and 39 degrees we are experiencing here right now. I'm jealous. ;)

Hi Jarkko - I just wanted to drop a quick note and say that I hope the kids are feeling better! Currently, it is about 85 degrees here so I am going to send you some virtual warmth and sunshine :)

@shane - when you have the chance I would love to hear more about the surf in El Sal! The Caribbean is having its worst winter for surf in over 25 years and I haven't been in the water since November 25...

It is good to know that Oiva is getting better. I keep finger crossed for all of You.

I know this filling, when baby sickness happens and deadlines are still the same. But hey, this exactly as in Lenon's words.

So only thing I could do about this is to plan ahead and don't make commitments to 'important' deadlines without some margin. And important means here, that screwing them would be really bold with consequences.

We have three children, aged 6 yrs, 2 yrs and 5 months. We have learned the hard way we have to be prepared for unexpected ;)

And no matter how You plan, life will happen ;)

Honey, I was Mormon. Having another spouse is hardly an obstacle. Me not speaking Finnish, though, and the fact that we would soon have a combined three children under two... yes, complicated is a good choice of word.

Plus your wife is stunningly beautiful and apparently as nice as she is pretty. It was a good idea in theory. ;)

Very nice read Jarkko. I always enjoy reading posts about people's "normal" life. Really allows the reader to make a deeper connection with the writer.

Hope everyone is feeling better. Being sick is no fun at all!

Thanks for the support, everyone! You're the best!

Oiva is doing much better already. I brought him to the doctor this morning for check up, and he doesn't seem to be losing liquid that much anymore - he actually started drinking much more already this morning (although doesn't eat much yet).

@Jonathan: You're right! And after all, the thing that motivates me most to work on my goals is my family, so I guess weeks like this should just make me more motivated, right? ;)

@Shane: I just browsed through your trip photos, and it sure looks like you had a great time! Great to have you back!

You'll have to teach me how to surf, some day (next year, maybe...)

@Chett: Well said! Well said! These nine months alone have changed my life so much that I can't imagine what it'll be like after six years. Looking forward to it though.

@Naomi: Missed the proposion? No way! I saw it. Offended? Not at all. But still, it's a bit complicated - you know (for one, we're both married... then there's the time difference...) Hehe.

Thanks for the support!

@amypalko: Thanks! I agree. It's really hard when you don't know what to do to make him feel better, especially when the kid is so young that there's no way to explain him what's going on...

I can't imagine how surprised Oiva must have been after the first time he threw up.
