Insanely Interesting Links

by Jarkko on January 20, 2008 · 7 comments

Last time I posted a list of interesting links was in late December when I listed the 303 most interesting links from 2007. Today the list won’t be that long – just a regular set of links containing some of the highlights from the past few weeks.

Without further explanations, 2008′s first set of insanely interesting links:

  1. Lodewijkvdb does this every Sunday: he looks back at the past week reviewing his goals in public to keep himself more accountable and moving towards the goals. Looking at the numbers it seems that the system is working and he is making good progress.
  2. The 5 Barriers to Success Series — Part 1: Lack of Significance. Skellie from Skelliewag.org started a new series of posts on things that are keeping us from reaching the success we are aiming at.
  3. Neil Patel from Quick Sprout had something interesting to say about paying bills at restaurants: It’s on me!
  4. How would you make money online if you would have only $10 to start with? That’s a great question posed by Adnan at the Blogtrepreneur blog. The discussion is still going on, so go ahead and leave your comments!
  5. I’m sure everyone knows this already, but I still couldn’t leave this one out. Everyone’s favorite blogger, and Naomi’s blog crush, Leo Babauta has taken the plunge to full time blogging!
  6. Joshua Clanton posted a collection of productivity haikus written by many of the bloggers, and for some reason he also included one written by me. Go check them out to get your daily dose of poetry!

This was today’s random selection. If you have some interesting links you want to add to the list, feel free to post them in the comments!

And to end this week, here are some random bits of information regarding this blog:

  1. Reminded by James Chartrand I just installed the Subscribe to comments plugin. It’s an easy way to follow an interesting discussion: When you write your comment, just tick the check box below the comment form. Then every new comment written to that post will be sent to your e-mail address.
  2. My current RSS subscriber count is 277. My goal for the end of January is 300: that’s still 23 to go.
  3. There is an insanely interesting interview post coming up next week with ideas from many interesting people including Shane Pearlman, Deron Sizemoore, Mike Hudack and many more. Stay tuned!

This is it for this week. But there are lots of interesting things coming up next week, so see you then!

Thanks for the link. I love doing the weekly review for myself. Posting it on the blog is like a stick behind the door to make sure I keep doing it :)

I loved the productivity haikus! And Subscribe to Comments is a definite must for every blog that wants vivid discussions. Good job on installing it!
