The time just before a new year starts is exciting because while we are physically still living in 2007, our minds are already wandering towards the next year. It’s the time when we tend to take a look at how the past year looked like and set goals for the next year.

I use Google Reader to follow what’s happening in the blogging world, and whenever I come across an insanely interesting post, I star it. This week I took a plunge back in history and decided to go through all the starred blog posts from this year.

About a week ago, on Thursday night, my wife got struck by a high fever. 39 degrees Celsius (102,2 degrees Fahrenheit). She couldn’t get up from bed, so I had to stay home and take care of her and our baby boy. She was sick for the whole week-end, and when she started to get better on Sunday, Oiva was next. 40,2 degrees Celsius (104,4 Fahrenheit). And finally on Monday evening my resistance broke and I found myself trembling in bed (a bit over 39).

24 Nights Before Christmas

It’s again the time of year when we get to decorate our homes with candles and warm colors, and listen to the Christmas carols that bring back all the memories from childhood.
